Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

Play2Lrn is a library of browser-based interactive simulations for learning by doing. Each simulation is published in one of three access tiers, set at our discretion: public (no account needed), free (account required, no payment), or subscription (account and an active paid subscription required). We may add, remove, or move simulations between tiers, and change the Service's features, at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if higher, to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Registration

You must provide an accurate email address to create an account and are responsible for anything that happens under your account, including keeping your login credentials secure. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription, Billing & Payment

Subscription-tier access is billed on a recurring basis through Razorpay, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — Razorpay handles payment collection directly.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the Service's simulations or underlying code; attempt to bypass an access tier or subscription check; interfere with the Service's operation; or use the Service for anything unlawful.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions about the Service, you agree we can use them without any obligation to you, including without compensation or attribution.

7. Simulation Content & Accuracy

Our simulations are built for exploration and learning, not as a substitute for professional, financial, medical, or other expert advice. Simulations that model real-world systems — including the finance, economics, and stock market categories — are simplified for educational purposes and shouldn't be relied on for real-world decisions. You're solely responsible for how you use anything you learn from the Service.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The simulations, their design, and the Play2Lrn name and branding belong to us or our licensors. Using the Service doesn't transfer any of that ownership to you.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy, explains what we collect and how we use it, and is incorporated into these terms by reference.

10. Third-Party Services

We rely on third parties to run the Service — Supabase for accounts and authentication, and Razorpay for billing. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. You can stop using the Service, and delete your account, at any time by contacting us.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll post the update here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the revised terms.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chandigarh, India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
